Please propogate. I would really like to work on you. It is very unfair that I start customizing my site, and all of a sudden a 404 error pops up. That's not nice. I don't have much hair to pull out, so please hurry up!
Sincerely
Renee
For those of you who are family with Susan Godfrey and her blog, you know that her family is having a rough time lately regarding the illness of their unborn baby. Amy at dandelion seeds is having a Prayer Chain for Susan and her family. I encourage you all to join, let's help the Godfrey family anyway we can in their time of need.
So, I've enjoyed a reading other's Works for me Wednesday posts, and decided to make one myself!
I am a good budgeter, but I don't enjoy bookkeeping! I have spreadsheets that I use, but I prolong it for as long as possible. I've started using sandwich bags to place my receipts into. Then when the sandwich bag becomes too full...I know I need to do my books! The great thing about the sandwich bags is that the receipts don't become lost my purse.

So, I hate doing book keeping, although I know I shouldn't put it off, I still do.
Here are a few of the many receipts I needed to put into my spreadsheet:And here's a screenshot of a portion of my completed spreadsheet (names/addresses have been blocked for privacy):
After, I completed it, I must say I felt better...now to tackle my personal records!

Does anyone use moveable type? Any tips, info, etc about moveable type are gladly appreciated.
:)
I encourage you to check out
this post on EverydayMommy.Net. It is very encouraging to hear that other women are outraged by some of the current trends and styles for little girls. Jules includes a "Moms for Modesty" Mission Statement that everyone should go and sign:
Moms for Modesty Mission Statement
- As a Mom for Modesty I believe in common-sense modesty for girls and young women.
- I believe in refraining from sexualizing our girls and young women.
- I believe that it is unwise and unfair to taunt boys and young men by permitting my daughter(s) to dress in an immodest manner.
- I believe that true beauty comes from within and I strive to teach my daughter(s) this truth.
- I will loyally shop at retailers that provide girls' and young womens clothing that is modest, affordable and stylish.

So my favorite message board was having a discussion about wal mart which turned into a discussion over being gay and if it was a choice/sin. Areas like these are where I really struggle. I am not gay, and so it's easy for me to say 'oh that's a choice'. But then I think, 'why would anyone choose to be homosexual? Even today it's not that accepted.' Most importantly I'm not sure what my approach should be to those who are gay. One of my very best friends is a gay guy. We get along really well and he knows that I think being gay is morally wrong. But, I still hang out with him. I go to dinner with him and his partner etc. I am worried that my words are telling him 'I think what your lifestyle is not what God planned for you.' But my actions are saying 'Nevermind my belief system. Your personal relationships are A-Okay'. This dilemma is not exclusive to gay friends. It could also be friends who steal, dishonor their parents, etc.How do you handle situations such as this?

I can't believe summer is coming to an end. This summer was very hot and I am excited about having cooler temperatures in the fall. With September came Hurrican Ernesto! It's not as bad now that it's landed (yep -I'm blogging during a hurricane). And so far our only damage has been to Mom's tomatoe plants.
I have been battling a bad cold all week and now my sleep is off schedule. I decided to try some new tea tonight. Yogi Tea's Classic Indian spice is...SPICY! It's good, but I had a huge cough attack on my first sip. I needed to add my sugar. They offer samples on their website. I really recommend them. The Indian Spice is great to curl up with on a bad weather day. I also like that their teas are either organic/made with organic products and caffeine free.
